Our experienced Language Teacher Marian Rice ensures that the students are fully engaged in language learning with hands on activities that stimulate the students understanding of the Indonesian language. Staff from Berry Street and the Upper Goulburn Landcare Network worked with students and staff to establish fruit trees, berries and a bush tucker garden, to further supplement the kitchen garden project. Buxton Primary is also fortunate to have a Natural Bush Area as part of the school grounds, which are all Land for Wildlife. This area, which includes a range of signifiant local indigenous plants, is currently undergoing significant landscaping, to preserve and enhance the natural bush setting as it continues to regenerate following the 2009 bushfires. The Natural Bush Area is an important focus in students' environmental education.
\n
\n\n
Science Club
\n\n
In 2014 the school introduced a Science club that takes place each Tuesday lunchtime with a different focus every term.
