Christopher Knight, is a Darwin Local. Born and raised in Darwin since 1974.

\n\nSince the age of 15, Chris has been following in the footsteps of his father Terry Knight in the field of photography. From travelling around Australia and the world, to working on mine sites in remote regions of the Outback.
\n\n
\n\nTerry began the company back in the 60's, then known as Terry Knight and Associates. He ran a complete colour and black and white darkroom and studio, developing our films and producing silver halide photographic prints in-house.
\n\n
\n\nWith the advent of digital, Terry Knight & Associates then expanded into digital production, with Flextight Drum Scanning and Publishing and Pre-Press Print Production via the complete Adobe Suite of software. Offset and Direct to Plate or Direct to Press printing was either outsourced overseas, interstate and locally as per client requirements.

In 2005, DigiFim Australia Pty Ltd took on the primary role of Design, Publishing and Photography, and brought the business into the Digital Age. Full digital production came online and back then with a 6Mp camera.

\n\nOur original 35mm cameras were Nikon. We transferred across to Minolta, then Konica Minolta, and now we exclusively use Sony. The Sony company purchased the Minolta brand as their own DSLR system in May 2006, and have evolved the DSLR into mirrorless, which is now becoming an industry standard technology. We also ran Pentax 6x7 film, Leica and Sinar large format 5x4inch plate cameras.

\n\nDigiFilm's digital photography arsenal includes; Pentax 645D medium format and also Sony A7ii and A7iii full frame 35mm cameras. A complete system of lenses (fisheye, macro through to telephoto and 4k Video). A plethora Flashes and accessories also complete our capabilities.

\n\nDigiFilm Australia has a regular size studio located at its main office in Palmerston, 20 minutes from Darwin's CBD. The complete studio includes multiple Monobloc Studio Strobes from Bowens and portable battery powered Monobloc Studio Strobes from Godox. Backdrops, and all the light shaping accessories you could ask for all allow DigiFilm the ability and flexibility to create indoors, outdoors and on location without limitation.

\n\nChristopher Knight is an experienced trainer. He has spent in excess of 20 years teaching his art to fellow photographers, designers, Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom technicians, from beginners through to advanced.

\n\nDigiFilm Australia now offers you the versatility of single and multiple photographers for your specific purposes, as well as video production. Aerial Drone, on-site same day image processing and delivery and a complete portable studio for corporate and private portraiture needs.
