Once you have a referral for your sleep study - call us or send us a copy of the referral, and we will book you a date to ensure you get the next available time. We then send you a questionnaire, which once filled in, is forwarded to the sleep specialist with your referral, for prior approval.

\n\nWe will contact you to confirm you sleep study clinic, date and time, and to let you know what to wear etc False nails or dark nail polish are not allowed as they will inhibit the oximeter. (One finger only)
\n\n
\n\nOn this evening, have a shower and wear suitable sleeping clothes which to which we will be attaching the device to, with alligator clips. You can change at our rooms if required. Come to the clinic at the nominated time
\n\n
\n\nDo not apply any lotions or creams, and ladies, you will need to remove your bra.(you may want to wear a jacket)
\n\n
\n\nAbout Sleep staff will take you to a private room where we will attach the device to your shirt and most of the leads to your body.
\n\n
\n\nOnce you get home, you can continue your normal routine, but do not get the device wet or damaged. Have the same amount of alcohol or sleeping pills that you normally do, and go to bed at the time you told us.
\n\n
\n\nIn the morning, do not remove the machine until the time you agreed on then you can carefully remove the leads, then the waist bands and lastly the device. Bring all these items back to the clinic along with the oximeter and tapes.
\n\n
\n\nThe staff at the clinic will upload your data and send it to the sleep scientist, who will score the study. This information is then passed, along with the original data, to the sleep specialist, who will review the information, and write a report.
