CCHR is an organisation that is focused on Human Rights in Mental Health, in supporting victims of abuse, and ensuring people can make fully informed decisions so that they or their loved ones can receive the care that they need.

\nCCHR to Geneva
\nCCHR was given the opportunity to make a verbal submission to the United Nations Committee Against Torture (UNCAT) in a formal meeting on April 20-21, 2015 in Geneva.
\n\n
The acceptance of our report saw the Government being called to task and issued a demand for change over the treatment of victims of human rights abuse in state care. CCHR was instrumental in uncovering ill treatment of children at the Lake Alice Child and Adolescent unit in the mid 1970s.
\n\n\n\n
For CCHR and our special guest Lake Alice Survivor, Paul Zentveld the verbal submission made an important mark against abuse and suffering in the Mental Health system.
