Veterinarian
\n\nAnnie graduated in 1985 and is an extremely experienced veterinarian having worked in both small animal and large animal practices during her career.
\n\n
\n\nAnnie is passionate, devoted, conscientious and very empathetic and has a wide knowledge base which makes her a fantastic addition to our team. She also has a special interest in complementary veterinary medicine.
\n\n
\n\nAnnie lives in rural Hastings with her husband Jeff and their family. They have 5 children - 2 boys and 3 girls ranging in age from 22 to 15 which keeps them very busy. Jeff and Annie farm milking goats and make artisan cheese and her interests include family, wine, yoga and of course cheese!!!

Annie is well known for lots of cuddles with her patients and many clients will remember her from her time at Carlyle Vets early in her career - (Annie Crowley).

Veterinarian
\n\nMarit joined us in May 2017 and works part time 3 days a week to accommodate her family needs.
\n\n
\n\nBorn in the Netherlands, Marit came to NZ with her parents and brother and sister in 1993 and settled in Napier. She graduated from vet school in 2005 and started her career in Taranaki as a mixed animal veterinarian. After a short stint locuming in Raetihi she moved to Matamata Veterinary Services in 2010 where she has spent the last seven years, first as a mixed animal veterinarian and more recently as companion animal only.
\n\n\n\n
Marit has been accompanied along the way with her cat Meah who is now nearing 16 years and has recently acquired a very boisterous head strong Thai Ridgeback called Zeeva. As well as her animals Marit has two young children who keep her busy when she's not at work.
\n\n
\n\nHaving grown up in the Bay it was a 'no brainer' to come back to the beautiful weather as well as being closer to her parents. Marit enjoys the challenge of working through the diagnostic process that many animals present and finds surgery especially enjoyable.
\n\n\n\n
Part of what makes the job enjoyable is the opportunity to form a relationship with the animal as well as the owner and to work together to find the best solution for the animal as well as the client.

\n\n\tMike is a graduate from Massey University and has been working in ‘the Bay’ since then. He started this clinic in 1986.
\n\n\t
\n\n\tHe is a highly respected veterinarian who is extremely competent in treating a wide range of species from cats and dogs to farm animals and marine mammals.
\n\n\tHe has a particular interest in the Medicine of Cats in which he obtained a membership to the Australian College by undertaking a series of exams in 1994.
\n\n\tMike oversees all our veterinary staff and is frequently consulted by them on difficult cases to ensure patients receive the benefit of his vast knowledge.
\n\n\tMike continues to develop his interest in cattle, sheep and goat medicine and dedicates a large number of his time ‘above and beyond the call of duty’ in ensuring herds and flocks are managed as efficiently as possible.
\n\n\t
\n\n\tSome of his special interests include canine reproduction, heart and diabetic problems, ophthalmology, skin disorders, cancer diagnosis and treatment as well as bird and alpaca medicine.
\n\n\t
\n\n\tHe is a qualified radiographer in PennHIP which is a system that evaluates the integrity of the canine hip.
\n\n\t
\n\n\tMike's interests are fitness; including running and RPM classes, travel, food and wine.
\n\n\t

\n\nAlison was born in Cape Town (Stormers terrain), and graduated in 1988 from Onderstepoort, Pretoria (Bull's territory)! After practicing in the UK, South Africa and Hong Kong she and her husband Mark moved to New Zealand in 1997.
\n\n\n\n
Alison was fortunate to have wildlife vetting experiences including rhino and general game capture, taking blood and collecting faecal samples from elephants, amongst many other wonderful experiences.... but small animals are her passion.
\n\n
\nAlison joined Carlyle Vets in 2011 after locuming in the Bay for 11 years and now works permanently on Thursdays and Fridays, she also can be seen on other days covering vets when they are on leave.
\n\nAlison has 3 boys and spends her leisure time being actively involved in supporting their varied sports.
\n\n
