Our high risk patients are recovered on a sensitive non-touch breathing movement monitor. This monitor was developed for detection of respiratory cessation (apnea) in babies so is highly sensitive.

\n\nAnimals are unable to communicate verbally their pain status and we want to ensure their comfort at all times.

\n\nIsoflurane gaseous anaesthetic machines are used every time your pet is kept under anaesthetic. This anaesthetic allows for rapid anaesthesia and wake up times post surgery.
\n\n
\n\nIn addition to general anaesthesia, we routinely use additional pain relief both before, during and after your pet’s surgery to ensure that your pet is kept ‘pain free’ long after the effects of the general anaesthesia have worn off. Some examples of these additional pain control measures are; intra operative epidural anaesthesia, dental nerve blocks, anti inflammatory pain relief for you to use when they go home.
