The Tocal Field Day was great success with a steady stream of enquiries from people interested in Dexter Cattle. Generally there was a good awareness of the Breed and its positive attributes. Questions focussed on the carrying capacity per acre and the availability of animals in the local area.

We took a Cow and Calf and a 14 month old Bull \"Major\". Major became the feature of our display showing an excellent temperament other the duration of the three day event. He coped extremely well with all the attention.

A group of Ag students from the Tocal College took a special interest returning several times to admire him as he stood proudly in his pen.
\n\n\n\n
We gave a formal address to a gathering of visitors on the first day of the Field Day in conjunction with other breed groups. However, the groups decided to continue with regular informal presentations on day two and three.
\n\n\n\n
Jackie Williams attended on both Friday and Sunday. Don Williams, Libby and Ron Brown attended on all three days.

Special thanks to DCAI councillor Chris Clarke for making the effort to get to the Field day on Friday. Chris was able to offer some excellent advise to visitors on the commercial advantages of Dexter Cattle.

Our display included a special cut out that was a big hit with your and not so young children who took advantage of the photo opportunity provided.
