North Coast Group is giving the members a full weekend of Dexter fun and friendship to add to the AGM as you have asked for many times. We will kick off the weekend with a Free BBQ Friday Night, bring your own drinks and the fun and friendship is on the house.

Saturday morning we will the start with a bacon and eggs at the poets breakfast. All you budding and established bush poets should sharpen your pencils and get in front of the mirror for some pre-event practice.
\n\nThroughout the day there will be Dexter Cattle Promotion Group displays and loads of information about the breed and how they fit into many different lifestyles, Group displays and information about lifestyle cattle.
\n\nThe two day Dexter Cattle Handlers Camp gets underway 8.30 on Saturday morning with registrations. Anyone wanting to know more about the hands on side managing cattle is welcome to participate, juniors and adults are welcome. The camp is being run by the Manning Valley Promotion Group who have enlisted some very talented and experienced people to assist. Fees are nominal a nominal donation so it will be well worth the time to take part.
\n\nCheese making workshops and tasting with Lyndall Dykes, affectionately known as ‘the cheese lady’ will be talking you through the how-to of cheese making. Lyndall is a passionate advocate of wholesome, sustainable and delicious homemade produce. Lyndall has been making cheese for over 30 years, still excited to know that anyone can make cheese at home with very little equipment, cost or complication. Her mission is to share with everyone how it is done.
\n\nA barbecue lunch will be tempting everyone by 12 Noon. Lets face it there is nothing like the smell of a barbie when you are out in the great outdoors!
\n\nA local butcher will be on hand to demonstrate the finer points of cutting up a carcass and where your favorite cuts come from.

The Expo will be officially opened by the Mayor of Nambucca on Saturday afternoon followed shortly after by the DCAI Annual General Meeting.
\n\nThe AGM will be followed by pre-dinner nibbles including some ever tasty home-made Dexter beef party pies and sausage rolls. Sound basic? Trust me they are good!! Everyone is invited to join us for a wonderful dinner and to celebrate the friendship that is synonymous with being a Dexter member. All this good food and good fun will cost just $30.00 for all you grown ups and $15.00 for any youngsters under 12 years of age.

We will be auctioning a one-of-a-kind painting of Dexter cattle that would look terrific above anyone’s mantel - so be prepared to raise your hand in the bidding so you do not miss this chance.
\n\nAll in all it will be a a fun packed night so Do Not Miss It.
