\n\nThere are a number of seniors in our community experiencing isolation, disconnection and loneliness.
\n\n
\n\nWe will facilitate visits and assistance from individuals and support groups to contribute to their welfare.
\n
The Denmark Community Foundation (WA) Inc. has again been successful in acquiring and distributing $7,500 of “Back to School” funding, making a difference to local families and students at the start of the 2016 school term. The Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal (FRRR) and the Sidney Myer and Pratt Family Foundations have supported Denmark through the Foundation for a number of years.
\n
\nLocal families receive back to school financial assistance for their children through this initiative delivered by the Denmark Community Foundation. Back to School vouchers are distributed locally, in partnership with local schools and businesses to help reduce the burden of costs associated with the commencement of a new school year e.g. school uniforms and other learning resources. Ask your children’s school about accessing these.
\n
\nThe Denmark Community Foundation negotiated for the vouchers to be redeemable within the local Denmark business community rather than sending the business to major department stores elsewhere. Local Heroes and the Denmark High School Uniform Shop are the major shops servicing both the High and Primary schools. Denmark Agriculture College students can also present vouchers to Local Heroes for clothing and other resources needed in their studies.
