The approach taken in the workshop is outlined in David&#39;s book&nbsp;<span style=\"text-decoration:underline\"><a dataquery=\"#textLink_jly9jk1k\"><span style=\"font-style:italic\">Smart Yoga: Apply the Alexander Technique to Enhance Your Practice, Prevent Injury and Increase Body Awareness&quot;</span></a></span></p>\n\n<p class=\"font_7\" style=\"line-height:1.4em; text-align:justify\"><span style=\"text-decoration:underline\"><span style=\"font-style:italic\"><span class=\"wixGuard\">​</span></span></span></p>\n\n<p class=\"font_7\" style=\"line-height:1.4em; text-align:justify\">This course will look&nbsp;at the application of the Alexander technique to participants everyday posture and movement and then use&nbsp;this learning as the basis for applying the technique to yoga poses.&nbsp;We will examine the type of poses which work for individual participants, we will look at participants habitual patterns of posture and movement with special focus on identifying and changing those patterns which cause strain and distress in everyday life and which may also be taken into the practice of yoga.</p>\n\n<p class=\"font_7\" style=\"line-height:1.4em; text-align:justify\">&nbsp;</p>\n\n<p class=\"font_7\" style=\"line-height:1.4em; text-align:justify\">Yoga&nbsp;as traditionally taught was, like the Alexander Technique,&nbsp; a practice focused on and developed around the particular needs of each individual student.
