Once you have finished your painting it's time now to perform a little embodyment exercise.
\n\nTake your stones and lay them out in order on the ground in front of you
\n\tStand in front of your line of rocks with the rock that represents step one closest to you with the rest extending out in front of you and ending with your 'end goal' stone
\n\tBegin by taking one step forward so you are standing next to the first stone/step, imagine what it would feel like to have taken that step
\n\tTake another step forward so you are standing next to the stone/step half way along your line of steps
\n\tAgain, visualise what it would be like to have completed that step, look behind you and see all the steps you have completed
\n\tTake the last few steps so you are now standing at the top of you line of stone, next to your 'end goal' stone
\n\tVisualise youself having completed your journey to your goal, what does that feel like? How will you have changed?
\n\tYou now have a map of where you want to go and how you are going to get there. You can keep these stones as markers of the steps you have taken to make your dreams come true!
\n\tWe are now ready to start our art work!
\n\nChoose one rock for each point on your mind map and one larger stone for your end goal (what you put in the middle of your mind map)
\n\tLay out your paints, brushes and water
\n\tStarting from step one take that stone and begin to tune into that point
\n\tBegin to paint something that represents that point, it doesn't have to be literal, just something to remind you of that step
\n\tKeep going, painting each stone in a way that represents each step on your mind map
\n\tAnd don't forget to paint your end goal rock!
\n\tThe first step is to connect with a goal and then to break down this goal into achievable steps.

Take the pen and blank A4 paper and set them infont of you
\n\tNow is the time to identify your goal
\n\tTake a deep breath and connect in with a goal or dream you are working towards
\n\tMake sure that it is a 'SMART' goal; that is Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, Timely
\n\tVisualise it clearly, then write it in the middle of your page and draw a circle around it
\n\tIf you have completed any of my other Art Therapy processes you will know that I am a bit of a fan of the 'mind map' which is what we are creating here.

A mind map offers a really clear way to identify all the elements we need to make our goal a reality.
\n\n\n\n
So what we have to do now is draw some legs on out central circle; one leg for each point that will help us reach our goal
\n\tKeep writing down things that will help you reach your goal until you can think of no more.
\n\tWhat we need to do now is to order or prioritise these points, from the first step we need to take to the last
\n\t\n\n
