By placing a booking with Alpine Charters, the customer acknowledges that they have read, understood and agree to accept the Terms and Conditions as detailed below.
\n\tThese Terms and Conditions shall apply whether the agreement is verbal or written and shall enter into force immediately upon issue of confirmation of the booking.
\n\tIt is the travellers’ responsibility to provide Alpine Charters their correct contact number and to have this phone with them the day of travel so they can be contacted with any last minute changes.
\n\tBooking confirmation and amendments
\n\nBookings are essential and not confirmed until a confirmation letter is issued.
\n\tAlpine Charters will issue confirmation letters for all bookings. Customers are advised to check all details thoroughly for accuracy and completeness; any discrepancies found in the confirmation letter should be communicated to Alpine Charters as a matter of urgency.
\n\tAlpine Charters require a payment of a 20% deposit as a condition of confirmation of your booking. Alpine Charters may amend this figure at its sole discretion.
\n\tKosciusko National Park Entrance Fee and airport transfer fees will be included and notated in your confirmation letter if applicable.
\n\tAmendments to any booking with less than 48 hours notice are not guaranteed.
\n\tAlpine Charters will issue amended confirmations for all agreed amendments.
\n\tDepending on the nature of the amendment, additional charges may be required.
\n\tNo amendment can be agreed with the Driver and the Driver does not have the authority to bind Alpine Charters in any manner whatsoever. Irrespectively, should the customer instruct the driver to amend the booking and there are additional costs incurred either before or during the booking the customer accepts full liability for these charges.
\n\tAlpine Charters cannot be held responsible for any delays in arrival at a destination caused by traffic problems and/or adverse weather conditions and these factors would be taken into account by the customer when requesting a collection time when making a booking. Alpine Charters shall have no liability to the customer for failing to arrive at a destination on time and shall bear no liability for late arrival at performances or events or connecting transport and the customer shall have no claim against Alpine Charters for any reimbursement to the cost of any tickets for any such performance, event or transport.
\n\tServices required before 6am or after 6pm will incur a surcharge of 20% of the total scheduled fare.
\n\tAll schedules and fees are correct at the time of publication.
\n\tAlpine Charters require a payment of a 20% deposit as a condition of confirmation of your booking. Alpine Charters may amend this figure at its sole discretion.
\n\tFull payment for bookings is required 14 days prior to travel. In the event that full payment is not received within this time, unless agreed in writing previously, Alpine Charters reserves the right to cancel the booking and any money paid will be forfeited and the full balance will be due.
\n\tAlpine Charters may at its sole discretion apply surcharges to bookings. These will be clearly outlined on your invoice. For example services required between 6pm and 6am incur a surcharge of 20% of the total scheduled fare.
\n\tLuggage
\n\nLuggage is limited to one large bag per person, one carry-on luggage and one set of skis or one snowboard unless sufficient notice is given for additional luggage.
\n\tAn enclosed luggage trailer may be requested and provided if available.
\n\tAlpine Charters is not responsible for any damage or soiling of luggage. Alpine Charters will exercise care when loading and unloading luggage.
\n\tAlpine Charters employees may request assistance in loading or unloading any luggage items.
\n\tDeparture/Pick up times
\n\nShould the customer be late for any pickup as set out in the confirmation the customer will be liable for any additional cost incurred by Alpine Charters, including but not limited to, the costs of obtaining a replacement vehicle if the original becomes unavailable, and obtaining additional drivers.
\n\tIf the actual departure time is made within 10 minutes of the scheduled/confirmed pickup time no overtime charge will be levied.
\n\tIf the actual departure time is within 30 minutes for a Canberra Airport or Snowy Mountains Airport scheduled/confirmed pickup time no overtime charge will be levied, but the 15 – 30 minute convenience stop is forfeited. If scheduling allows and at the driver's discretion, the driver will wait longer and allow the scheduled stop at an additional charge of $25 per 15 minutes.
\n\tAny actual departure times that exceed 10 minutes of the scheduled/confirmed pickup time will be charged at $25 per 15 minutes.
\n\tAt the driver’s discretion, the driver will wait up to 30 minutes from the scheduled/confirmed time of pick up. If the customer does not arrive in that time Alpine Charters are relieved of any obligation to provide the service and shall have no liability to the customer for any costs incurred by the customer in completing their journey. However Alpine Charters shall use reasonable endeavours to complete the journey at full cost to the customer.
\n\tUnless previously agreed to in writing Alpine Charters will decide the route to be taken.
\n\tRoute
\n\nPick up and drop off locations must be legal points of for embarkation and disembarkation and suitable for the vehicle utilised. Any changes to the route or if additional drop off points are requested it shall be agreed upon at the driver’s discretion and an additional fee may be charged.
\n\tSeat belts / Child restraints / Booster seats
\n\nAll passengers are required to wear seat belts in seat belt equipped vehicles. Alpine Charters drivers are not responsible for policing this requirement.
\n\tParents, guardians or the client are required to ensure all children wear seat belts in seat belt equipped vehicles.
\n\tChild restraints and booster seats are available on request at the time of booking at no additional cost.
\n\tAlpine Charters is not responsible for the installation and securing of child restraints and child booster seats. Parents, guardians or the client are responsible to ensure all child restraints and booster seats are installed adequately and securely.
\n\tDrug, Alcohol and Tobacco Consumption
\n\nNo illicit drugs or alcohol is to be consumed on any Alpine Charters vehicle. Bottled water is allowed.
\n\tSmoking is not permitted on any Alpine Charters vehicle.
\n\tPassenger Conduct
\n\nPassengers are to behave in a proper manner for the duration of their journey. Alpine Charters reserve the right to eject any passengers behaving in an inappropriate, offensive, intoxicated or destructive manner from the vehicle or stop the vehicle until the situation is resolved. This may include requesting Police to attend. This is at the sole discretion of the driver.
\n\tPassengers and clients are responsible for any damage caused to the vehicle as a result of your booking. For example vandalism, excessive vehicle cleaning due to food or beverage spillage and breakage of interior or exterior fittings.
\n\tAll rubbish is to be disposed of in the vehicle rubbish bins. If there is no vehicle bin please take your rubbish with you when you disembark the vehicle.
\n\tLost property
\n\nAlpine Charters is not responsible for any property left, or thought to be left, on an Alpine Charters vehicle. Alpine Charters will endeavor to search each vehicle at least daily for lost property and store it at the depot for a minimum 48 hours, after which we reserve the right to dispose of or destroy any lost property.
\n\tAlpine Charters do not guarantee the security of any lost property.
\n\tCancellations
\n\nAll cancellations must be made in writing.
\n\tAlpine Charters may at its sole discretion charge cancelation fees at the rate of:
\n\n\t20% of the total booking amount if you cancel within 30 days prior to your first journey.
\n\t\t50% of the total booking amount if you cancel within 3 days prior to your first journey.
\n\t\t100% of the total booking amount if cancelled with less than 24 hours of your first journey.
\n\t\tCancellation by Alpine Charters
\n\nIn the event that Alpine Charters is unable to provide a vehicle to meet all or part of the customer’s confirmed requirements due to matters outside its reasonable control, a reason of emergency, vehicle unavailability, or other reason, Alpine Charters will take all reasonable measure to provide a replacement or alternative solution.
\n\tIf it is not possible Alpine Charters retain the right to return all money paid and, without liability, cancel the booking providing the customer with as much notice as possible.
\n\tIn such circumstances Alpine Charters shall have no liability for any inconvenience or loss incurred and will not be liable for any direct or indirect consequential loss howsoever arising. It is strongly recommended that the customer consider insurance against this risk.
\n\tAlpine charters reserve the right to subcontract to another operator in the event of unforeseen circumstances; no responsibility will be taken for any inconvenience caused.
\n\tAnimals
\n\nWith the specific exception of recognised assistance dogs, no animals are permitted to be carried on any vehicle unless permission has been obtained in writing from Alpine Charters a minimum of 3 working days prior to the commencement of travel.
