What is Sparks of Light?

Sparks of Light is a one-day annual event that allows participating spa professionals across the country to offer their healing gifts for free to those battling cancer. So often the only touch those battle cancer receive is when undergoing treatment. Ruth, the owner of Silhouette Beauty, is the daughter of a cancer survivor and knows first hand how a soothing touch can make all the difference to a cancer patients spirits and is excited to participate in this wonderful day.

\n\nWe will be offering a free Express Facial (30 minute treatment) in an effort to accommodate as many people as possible. After 3:30 the service will also include a gentle hand and foot massage. Or, let someone accompany you and they can receive a complementary chair massage.

The service is completely free with the only requirement being that we ask that you obtain clearance from your physician for the treatment. Please bring this with you.

The Sparks of Light Story

\n\nIn 1995, as Vicky Weis watched her mother deal with the ravages of cancer, she was called to honor her mother’s 13-month journey. In 2005, after years of planning, Vicky started Faye’s Light, named for her mother; a place where spa therapists and holistic practitioners come to offer free services for those battling cancer. Now this astonishingly powerful idea will spread nationwide for one day through Sparks of Light.
