\n\tI’m a proud Eastern Arrernte (Alice Springs) man that has lived in the eastern metropolitan area of Melbourne all my life. So I can this place my home and community but my Culture and Stories come from the Centre.
\n\nI have been honoured to be in a leadership role in this community since 1995 being on several committees and board of management structures. The community has given me strength and belonging over the years with this knowledge and life experiences I have been a strong advocate for their needs and aspirations.
\n\n\n\n
Being in a position to be part of a team with Boorndawan Willam Aboriginal Healing Service (BWAHS) that provides a cultural, nurturing and clinical services those people that have been exposed to Family Violence gives me immense satisfaction.
\n\n\n\n
Healing is a natural and cultural way of how we look after our people in a non-judgemental way that has positive outcomes.
\n\n\n\n
Other areas in the community I am currently involved as a Director is the Mullum Mullum Indigenous Gathering Place, which is a community partner to BWAHS as are many other organisations.
\n\n\n\n
I’m also as an Elder representative that sits on the Koori Children’s Court in Melbourne under the Justice Departments Elders and Respected Persons role.

My vision for the future is that our mob can live in a safe and happy environment that is rich culture and respect.

I have been involved in the Aboriginal community here in Melbourne for over 3 decades and have been part of several community groups, including Minajalku, Mullum Mullum Indigneous Gathering Place, Boorndawan Willam Aboriginal healing Service, Djerrnong Anglican Community. I have also served on national and International committees developing policy and community development protocols.

I am currently working as the Aboriginal Equity pathways Officer at the Australian catholic University in the Jim-baa-yer unit here in Melbourne. Along with my work life I have also developed an photographic and artistic profile, and enjoy these creative breaks as often as I am able. I meditate (and have for over 30 years) and still do weddings and funerals.
