Walk through the underpass and turn left into Davies Avenue.&nbsp; The Soldiers Memorial Avenue commences 50 metres up the rise.&nbsp; Located here is a bronze statue honoring Tasmanian contingents in the South African War 1899-1902 and a monument to Charles Meredith.&nbsp; Cross the road into the Queens Domain</p>\n\n<p class=\"font_7\">&nbsp;</p>\n\n<p class=\"font_7\">Soldiers Memorial Avenue is a gently sloping, well maintained gravel track with lovely views over the Derwent River, Eastern Shore &amp; Tasman Bridge.</p>\n\n<p class=\"font_7\">&nbsp;</p>\n\n<p class=\"font_7\">The final section of the avenue is at Soldiers Memorial Oval (also known as Crossroads Oval).&nbsp; Here you can either walk around the oval and return via Soldiers Memorial Avenue or walk on the track alongside Davies Avenue back to the Aquatic Centre.</p>\n\n<p class=\"font_7\">&nbsp;</p>\n\n<h6 class=\"font_6\">Alternative routes</h6>\n\n<p class=\"font_7\">&nbsp;</p>\n\n<p class=\"font_7\">Some alternative routes if taking Soldiers Memorial Avenue are, firstly take Soldiers Memorial Avenue then link up with either the Joggers Loop or Grassland Gully.</p>\n\n<p class=\"font_7\">&nbsp;</p>\n\n<h6 class=\"font_6\">Joggers Loop</h6>\n\n<p class=\"font_7\">&nbsp;</p>\n\n<p class=\"font_7\">From Soldiers Memorial Avenue cross the road to the Interpretation shelter then continue on the road to the Joggers Loop, a sealed road.&nbsp; From the Joggers Loop it is also possible to find tracks that lead up to the Wireless Station.</p>\n\n<p class=\"font_7\">&nbsp;</p>\n\n<h6 class=\"font_6\">Grassland Gully</h6>\n\n<p class=\"font_7\">&nbsp;</p>\n\n<p class=\"font_7\">From Soldiers Memorial Avenue cross&nbsp; the road to the Interpretation shelter.</p>\n\n<p class=\"font_7\">&nbsp;</p>\n\n<p class=\"font_7\">Take the track down through grassland gully past the Botanical Gardens.&nbsp; The grassland track is narrow but well maintained with duck-board over the wetter areas.&nbsp; Keep walking to the right along the road above the Botanical Gardens and then cross to the footpath and head past Government House and the old Beaumaris Zoo.&nbsp; Continue along footpath and return to the Cenotaph car-park via the underpass.</p>\n\n<p class=\"font_7\">&nbsp;</p>\n\n<p class=\"font_7\">&nbsp;</p>\n\n<p class=\"font_7\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Facilities</span></p>\n\n<p class=\"font_7\">&nbsp;</p>\n\n<p class=\"font_7\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Toilet locations</span></p>\n\n<p class=\"font_7\">&nbsp;</p>\n\n<ul class=\"font_7\">\n\t<li>\n\t<p class=\"font_7\">Cenotaph, near the bike hire and in the TCA grounds, half way along the walk (only available during the day and not during games or after hours).&nbsp;</p>\n\t</li>\n\t<li>\n\t<p class=\"font_7\">Toilets are also located in the Botanical Gardens but dogs don’t have access to the gardens.</p>\n\t</li>\n</ul>\n\n<p class=\"font_7\">&nbsp;</p>\n\n<p class=\"font_7\">The grassland interpretation shelter, which provides information about native grasslands and their regeneration program, marks the end of Soldiers Memorial Avenue.&nbsp;&nbsp; You can return via the same route.</p>\n\n<p class=\"font_7\">For an alternative route, take the track down through grassland gully past the Botanical Gardens.&nbsp; The grassland track is narrow but well maintained with duck-board over the wetter areas.&nbsp;
