\n\nWALKS FOR AUGUST, SEPTEMBER AND OCTOBER

Saturday 20th October: Henleys Road, Cygnet. If coming from Huonville come through Cygnet, turn left at the roundabout and follow the road until you are just past the turn-off for Nichols Rivulet(don’t take this turn-off) when you will come to Henleys Road on your right, turn in here and turn right again into Pambula Road – park here then walk down Henleys Road to the waterfront. This is a short walk but there is a nice grassy space at the end and an opportunity for the dogs to have a swim. If the tide is right you can actually walk along the waters edge rather than the road, this is a bit rough in places but the dogs love it!

Tuesday 30th October: Randalls Bay. If coming from Huonville drive south through Cygnet (turn left at roundabout) then drive south along the Channel Highway until you come to the turn off to Randalls Bay. Drive down the hill and park near the barbecue area. Dogs must be on lead until we are past the barbecue area then they can go for a nice run and a swim.

\n\nOff lead and under control ?
\n\nSeveral of our walks are ‘off-lead’ but please be aware that , under the Dog Act, it is the owners responsibility to keep their dog under control and in sight at all times. We love to see our dogs running free and playing together but sometimes there maybe a distraction or situation where your dog is not
\n\nresponding to you as he/she normally would and needs to go back on the lead. You may need to put your dog on a lead if he or she:
\n\n·Has poor recall
\n\n· Has a habit of running off out of your sight
\n\n· Is aggressive or upsetting other dogs
\n\n· Is behaving in a way that endangers itself or others
\n\n· Any other situation where you feel that you don’t have control of your dog.
\n\nIn addition to putting a dog on lead for the behaviours outlined, it is an owners prerogative to have their dog on lead during any of the walks if they feel it is in the best interest of the dog.
