There are a variety of assessments that we conduct at All for Kids Therapy, including:

\n\nAutism Spectrum Disorder/ASD Assessment
\n\n\tAn ASD assessment involves comprehensive information collection from multiple sources including parents and teachers, in addition to interviews and observation with the child themselves. This information enables the Psychologist to determine if a child's behaviour, emotional expression and social skills are within age-appropriate limits, or whether their areas of strength and difficulty are consistent with an ASD profile.
\n\t\tAn ASD assessment provides important information for parents and teachers, as well as informing treatment strategies for the treating professionals.

\n\nCognitive and Learning Assessments
\n\n\tCognitive and Learning assessments involve observing and assessing the child
\n\t\tin the clinic setting. During these assessments, the child completes different
\n\nactivities such as working out patterns, providing definitions, answering general
\n\nknowledge questions and remembering number sequences. All assessment
\n\nitems administered are based on the child's age and grade.
\n\n
\n\nCognitive Assessments - These assessments help Psychologists identify a
\n\nchild's cognitive/intellectual abilities, in addition to their cognitive profile. A
\n\ncognitive profile is a child's individual pattern of strengths and weaknesses,
\n\nand gives an indication of a child's abilities across areas including verbal skills,
\n\nvisual skills, memory and processing speed.
\n\n
\n\nLearning Assessments - These assessments enable a Psychologist to identify
\n\nif any specific learning difficulties, or learning disorders (such as dyslexia), are
\n\npresent in areas including: Reading, Mathematics, Written Language and Oral Language.
\n\n
\n\nADHD assessment
\n\n\tADHD assessment can be conducted with children aged 5 and above. An ADHD assessment involves interviewing parents and teachers, interviewing and observing the child, and completing questionnaires designed to target ADHD symptoms specifically. The results of the assessment indicate whether a child is exhibiting symptoms consistent with an ADHD diagnosis, and also give information around what particular areas of difficulty they are experiencing. For example, hyperactivity symptoms, impulsivity symptoms and/or inattentive symptoms.

\n\nEmotional, Social and Behavioural Assessments
\n\n\tThese assessments involve collecting information from parents and teachers, in addition to interviewing and observing a child, to determine if their behaviour, emotional expression and social skills are within age-appropriate limits, or whether they are outside of that typical of other children their age.
\n\t\tThe assessment can identify difficulties such as anxiety, defiance or inattention.
\n\t\tThese assessment provide important information for parents and teachers, as well as informing treatment strategies for your therapist.
