Don’t build near fruit trees or palm trees or you will have another job of cleaning out the pit of rotten fruit and seeds.</span></span></span></p><p class=\"font_8\">&nbsp;</p><p style=\"font-size: 16px;\" class=\"font_8\"><span style=\"font-size:16px;\"><span style=\"font-weight:bold;\"><span style=\"font-family:tahoma,tahoma-w01-regular,tahoma-w02-regular,tahoma-w10-regular,tahoma-w15--regular,tahoma-w99-regular,sans-serif;\">STEP 2: CHOOSING YOUR BORDER</span></span></span></p><p style=\"font-size: 14px;\" class=\"font_8\"><span class=\"color_14\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"font-family:tahoma,tahoma-w01-regular,tahoma-w02-regular,tahoma-w10-regular,tahoma-w15--regular,tahoma-w99-regular,sans-serif;\">When deciding on a border of the sandpit, don’t be afraid to get creative and look for something different to the traditional timber. Maybe try stone, brick or even tree stumps placed closed together.</span></span></span></p><p class=\"font_8\">&nbsp;</p><p style=\"font-size: 16px;\" class=\"font_8\"><span style=\"font-size:16px;\"><span style=\"font-weight:bold;\"><span style=\"font-family:tahoma,tahoma-w01-regular,tahoma-w02-regular,tahoma-w10-regular,tahoma-w15--regular,tahoma-w99-regular,sans-serif;\">STEP 3: DECIDE ON YOUR SHAPE</span></span></span></p><p style=\"font-size: 14px;\" class=\"font_8\"><span class=\"color_14\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"font-family:tahoma,tahoma-w01-regular,tahoma-w02-regular,tahoma-w10-regular,tahoma-w15--regular,tahoma-w99-regular,sans-serif;\">Now that your location and border is sorted it is time to mark the outline of the sandpit. Decide on a shape that best suits your yard and then dig out the trench for the border. The trench for the border should be approximately 6 inches deep. Then, with the outline clearly marked, dig out the centre of the box. NOTE: To make the process a little easier, maybe consider hiring a trencher digger.</span></span></span></p><p class=\"font_8\">&nbsp;</p><p style=\"font-size: 16px;\" class=\"font_8\"><span style=\"font-size:16px;\"><span style=\"font-weight:bold;\"><span style=\"font-family:tahoma,tahoma-w01-regular,tahoma-w02-regular,tahoma-w10-regular,tahoma-w15--regular,tahoma-w99-regular,sans-serif;\">STEP 4: ASSEMBLING YOUR SANDPIT</span></span></span></p><p style=\"font-size: 14px;\" class=\"font_8\"><span class=\"color_14\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"font-family:tahoma,tahoma-w01-regular,tahoma-w02-regular,tahoma-w10-regular,tahoma-w15--regular,tahoma-w99-regular,sans-serif;\">Next, lay down, in place, your timber or border materials. Remembering if you have chosen to use stone or bricks that you make sure you have pushed them firmly together to form a tight outline.</span></span></span></p><p style=\"font-size: 14px;\" class=\"font_8\"><span class=\"color_14\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"font-family:tahoma,tahoma-w01-regular,tahoma-w02-regular,tahoma-w10-regular,tahoma-w15--regular,tahoma-w99-regular,sans-serif;\">Then on the bottom lay some gravel or aggregate to aid with drainage. Now you can line the sandpit with shade cloth (not plastic), this will keep grass, weeds and creepy crawlies from coming up through the bottom of the sand pit.</span></span></span></p><p class=\"font_8\">&nbsp;</p><p style=\"font-size: 16px;\" class=\"font_8\"><span style=\"font-size:16px;\"><span style=\"font-weight:bold;\"><span style=\"font-family:tahoma,tahoma-w01-regular,tahoma-w02-regular,tahoma-w10-regular,tahoma-w15--regular,tahoma-w99-regular,sans-serif;\">STEP 5: FILLING THE SANDPIT</span></span></span></p><p style=\"font-size: 14px;\" class=\"font_8\"><span class=\"color_14\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"font-family:tahoma,tahoma-w01-regular,tahoma-w02-regular,tahoma-w10-regular,tahoma-w15--regular,tahoma-w99-regular,sans-serif;\">Determine how much sand you need to fill your sandpit.
