If you’ve had a chance to review my website and the services on offer, the next step is to get in touch with me, if you’d like to proceed with a quote. You can do this by completing the quote request form on my website. Upon receipt of your quote request and having reviewed the outline of your requirements, I may be in a position to provide you with a quote… if not, you can expect a response by email, with an attached questionnaire for your completion. This is your opportunity to provide me with detailed information about your project. The questionnaire is to be completed by the person who is expected to be the primary point of contact for any discussions about the project specifics. This document allows for you to provide the necessary information pertaining to your company products/services, which will hopefully give me a clear understanding of your project specifications and assist in the preparation of your quote. If you feel your job requires discussion, prior to requesting a quote, then please feel free to phone me for a chat. If I’m not available to answer your call, leave a message and I will be in touch as soon as I can.

As business owners, time is money, for you and I both, so please be aware that I prefer to discuss your job requirements by phone or email, unless you specifically request a meeting, or I consider a face-to-face meeting is beneficial to the nature of the job, either at the outset or once a project is underway. Face-to-face meetings will often be recommended, in the case of larger, more complex projects, or where a meeting will assist in giving me a clearer picture of your brands personality, target audience and any other marketing objectives eg If a cafe or restaurant were to ask me to update their marketing material or website, to bring it into line with recent remodel/renovation of the business premises, then visiting the premises where possible and reviewing all current marketing material, is certainly best done in person, as opposed to over the phone or email. If I recommend one or more meetings, I ask you please consider my professional advice, as project delays typically occur, where there are to many emails/phone calls back and forth discussing matters, best tackled in a face-to-face meeting. In the case of a fixed quote, there is a limit to the time I am prepared to invest in ongoing email/phone discussions relating to a project and as such, if at any point it becomes apparent that such discussions are not achieving anything that assists me advancing your project towards completion, a face-to-face meeting will be advised. So with this in mind, if you would like one or more face-to-face meetings, please clearly indicate this when completing my questionnaire, so I can schedule a suitable meeting time with you. Face-to-face meetings will be invoiced at an hourly rate for time and travel incurred.

Based on any prior discussions and/ the information you provide in your completed questionnaire, together with any additional related information, I will set about preparing your quote, which will be emailed to you. Your quote will typically include detailed pricing, any relevant optional extras, such as revisions/amends, incidentals, meetings where required/requested, project specific terms and conditions, my anticipated available start date and the deposit amount payable upfront, in order for me to book your job into my schedule. Quotes are valid for one month from date of issue. If you wish to discuss your quote, please contact me, otherwise simply complete the Acceptance of Quote and email it to me, together with any additional information. Upon receipt of your signed Acceptance of Quote (an email advising you accept the quote is acceptable), I will issue you with an invoice. Simply pay the required deposit, at which point your project and any requested meetings, will be booked into my schedule and the starting date for your project, confirmed.

Payment terms are non-negotiable. No job is booked into my schedule until the deposit as stipulated in your quote, is paid in full. A 50% deposit is required upfront, or 100% for jobs for new clients, or with a value under $500AUD.

If you terminate your project, before work has commenced, you will forfeit your deposit. If you terminate the project once work has commenced, you will be invoiced for the cost of any work that exceeds the value of the deposit paid. Full copyright is retained by Brisbane Website Content Writer, until all invoices have been paid in full. Completed work will not be released until invoices have been paid in full.

Once the deposit has been paid and the commencement date reached, I will begin work on your project.

Drafts and any included revisions/amends (format: word doc, using tracked changes) will be provided via email. If it’s a small job, I’ll write the entire first draft and send that you. Otherwise, I will make a start on the writing and send you a copy of where I’m up to, so I can ensure I am writing in your expected style/tone. If you are happy with a draft, advise by reply email, so your job can be finalised and the final invoice issued. Alternatively, clearly advise your required changes to a draft, using tracked changes and submit via email for revision. If after 7 days I’ve received no email response from you advising approval of a draft, or further revisions/amends, I will assume you require no further changes, close your job and send a final invoice. A final invoice will be issued to you, after you’ve been sent your first draft, or with the final draft (whichever is first) and is due within 7 days of the date of issue. Any requested revisions/amends, additional to those included in your quote, will be invoiced at my hourly rate.

I design and develop basic websites for small business, using WIX. As work progresses, I will contact you at various stages of the job and ask you review and approve the work undertaken to that point. If there are any changes, these are to be advised via email, then approved. Your site will be published (live) once the project is complete, your approval given and your final invoice has been paid in full.
\n\n\n\n
Where you have an existing website and engage my services to carry out ongoing, long term website content management, you will need to provide me with the site address and the username and password to access and email me clear and concise instructions on the changes to be made.

If you request minor (value under $200AUD) revisions in addition to those included in your quote, or any other changes, a revised final invoice will be issued. If the value of your required additional revisions is more than $200AUD, an interim invoice will be issued, with 50% of the cost payable.

Like many freelancers, I am usually booked in advance, so the sooner you provide me with a detailed outline of your job specifications and pay the required deposit, the sooner I'm able to schedule in your job around other projects and advise you of the expected time frame for completion of your job. Where I have availability, I'm always happy to take on smaller jobs at short notice. I always endeavour to meet agreed time frames, but where this may not be possible, as would be the case, where a client has more revisions than expected, or delays providing requested information or additional material, I will always keep you informed as to how these changes impact expected time frames for completion of work.

When your job is complete, simply pay the invoice balance by the due date. Copyright for any material I write, remains with me, until such time as all invoices are paid in full.

All materials provided by a client, are the responsibility of the client to ensure legal compliance and accuracy. Overdue invoices will be followed up with an email reminder. Where an overdue invoice remains unpaid within 7 days of this email reminder, a late payment fee $45.00AUD will be applied to your invoice.

Once final invoice is paid and a job closed, I like to encourage clients to provide me with feedback, in the form of a written testimonial, to include on my website!
