\n\nWorking for this emerging profession and its members to be recognised and play an integral part in the Allied Health workforce with groups such as Health Workforce NZ, District Health Boards, the Ministry of Health, and other organisations. This involves letting the public know who we are and what we do through our website and leveraging promotional opportunities.

Providing a recognised registration pathway
\n\nWe will provide the gold standard registration pathway for members who wish to work in the field as a certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist that will be the accepted standards in this scope of practice.
\n\nNotifying members of lifelong learning and continuing professional development opportunities.
\n\nWe will be able to provide a vehicle for appropriate courses and programmes to be circulated to our members to enable them to be kept abreast of any training opportunities that arise.

Facilitating knowledge transfer & research
\n\nWe want to be able to share best practice and research throughout our member network so that members can learn through Knowledge transfer and research about how to best serve our clients and patients. Some form of conference or e-based publication is our medium-term goal.

Providing access to insurance
\n\nCEPNZ has arranged discounted Indemnity insurance cover through Aon. Members interested in insurance should contact elizabeth.ngan@aon.com.

Membership Categories and Pricing
\n\nThe CEPNZ Board launched its new membership structure effective from April 1st 2015. All foundation memberships will be current until that date and will then expire. Memberships will run for a calendar year from April 1st each year and members joining after September 31st will pay 50% of the annual fee. Renewal notices for existing members will be emailed out in January each year.

The membership categories are:

Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist ($200 + $50 for initial application): Any person who meets the current clinical competencies and is able to use the wording “Registered CEP ”. Registration is maintained by an annual practising certificate. Note 1) you have to be accredited as a clinical exercise physiologist (see accreditation tab) before you can become registered. Note 2) *Initial accreditation application incurs a $50 non-refundable administration fee

Non-Registered Membership ($50): Any individual who does not meet the current clinical competencies and practice requirements
\n\n\n\n
Student Membership ($30): Shall be open to any person undertaking at least undergraduate degree level (L7) studying towards an appropriate qualification (or completing clinical hours/competency after graduation) as approved by the Executive Committee.
