You will need a referral from your doctor to make an appointment to see our neurosurgeons. This referral will also allow you to claim a Medicare rebate for part of the cost of your consultation. Please note that referrals usually expire after 12 months from General Practitioners and 3 months from Specialists.

\n\nOur staff may ask you to post, fax or email your referral and test results to the clinic so that your doctor can see them prior to your appointment.
\n\n
\n\nYou will receive an SMS reminder two to three days before your appointment. Please confirm your appointment via an SMS reply. If you do not have a mobile phone please call the clinic a few days prior to your appointment to confirm. We do have many patients waiting for appointments so we would appreciate at least 24 hours notice of cancellation so that another patient may be seen at that time.

\n\nIn order to access your CT / MRI scans online the doctor will need to know where your films were done. Please bring the written report or the films on a disc. Any scans performed in the public hospital will need to be brought on disc as the hospitals do not allow online access for viewing.

\n\nIf your appointment is covered under Workcover or a Third Party insurance claim, written approval needs to have been received by the practice prior to your appointment.
\n\n
\n\nIf you are a new patient, we would suggest you arrive 30 minutes prior to your appointment time to allow time for parking, locating our clinic and completing some paperwork.

\n\nFor patients undergoing spinal surgery we are pleased to offer Preoperative Information sessions with our Practice Nurse, either at the clinic or by telephone. These are usually held on a Thursday and are a complimentary service to our patients. Please contact reception to book an appointment. We strongly advise patients undergoing spinal fusion procedures to attend these sessions.
