The All The Doo Dah Day Program has been specifically designed to meet all learning outcomes and practice principles of the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework for example improving the children’s social and emotional wellbeing (Outcome 3), helping children develop dispositions for learning such as confidence and creativity (Outcome 4) and helping children transfer/adapt their learning to different contexts. Music is becoming more and more recognised as an important tool for learning. Brain tests have revealed that music alters brain waves, making the brain more receptive to learning. Music can also support early literacy and numeracy as it helps children:

Become familiar with sound and rhythm patterns;
\n\tLearn language patterns, remember new words, stories;
\n\tDevelop phonological and phonemic awareness;
\n\tDevelop clear pronunciation;
\n\tDevelop pathways in the brain for word processing.

\n\nOur main aim is for the program is to make learning music relevant to the children’s experiences and something that will help to improve their confidence, resilience and sense of wonder. Our program is designed to take into account the children’s emerging interests and to improve their social, emotional and physical wellbeing. Our programs incorporate literacy and numeracy concepts as well as work on gross and fine motor skills. A key to the program is engendering a sense of community and respect for diversity.

All the Doo Dah Day offers a variety of programs tailored to the tastes of the children. Children will learn songs, play instruments, learn dances, tell their own stories and learn new concepts inspired by their interests.

Generous discounts are applied for bookings for multiple groups or sessions, and we can let you know exact costs upon enquiry. \n\nOur most popular option for child care centres and ELCs. This allows for music to be embedded into the day to day programs of the services and also for the creation of a genuine community of learners between All The Doo Dah Day, educators, children and their families. Programs can be run weekly or fortnightly and generous discounts of up to 50% off session prices apply for multi-group ongoing bookings, making our ongoing programs our most cost effective option. Prices available on enquiry and are dependent on size of service, frequency of sessions and number of children.

Unfortunately in 2019 we will no longer be providing in-home services for Family Day Care operators, however, plans are in action to provide playgroups for Family Day Carers and their children, so please contact us to enquire about these.
