\n\nThe Magic of Dance is an annual performance showcasing the dancers of the Australian Dance Academy and Duprada Dance Company.
\n\nThe magic begins at 'Sunset' 6.30pm with a well known fairytale told through the 'Magic of Dance' bringing the characters to life. The music, costumes and lighting always touch your heart.

Giselle is the most celebrated of the Romantic era owed its creation to the French poet Theophile Gautier inspired by the German legend of the Wilis, mysterious dancers who appeared at night. They had died from broken hearts after being jilted by the men who had sworn to love only them.

Their eyes light up and you can feel their energy and concentration as they try to focus on instructions.

\n\nThe Story of Kitri a young girl, the daughter of an innkeeper who is in love with Basilio, a young Barber. Kitri's father, Lorenzo wants her to marry the aristocratic ninny Gamache. The humorous story unfolds as Kitri and Basilio try everything to be together. The 'Don' who wants to revive chivalry believes he is a Knight surrounded by beautiful maidens and will right the wrongs by leading Lorenzo and Gamache astray.

The fairytale remains a secret for quite some time. Our young dancers are cast in the story well before the 'cat gets out of the bag!!!' We love to see if they can keep a secret.
