Third Animalia International Print Exchange 2017

\n\nPrintmaking Sisters invite printmakers from around the world to join us in this exchange. Proceeds of sales are pledged to World Animal Protection.

\n“World Animal Protection vision: A world where animal welfare matters and animal cruelty has ended. World Animal Protection exists to tackle animal cruelty across the globe. We work directly with animals and with the people and organisations that can ensure animals are treated with respect and compassion.”

\nThe rules are simple:
\n\n\n\n
Theme
\n“Animalia” Be liberal with your interpretation as you respond to this encompassing theme.
\nDefinition: The animal kingdom, the taxonomic kingdom comprising all living or extinct animals including: sponges, worms, insects, fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds, and mammals.
\n\nPaper size
\nPaper size strictly 12cm square or 4.7 inches square. Images can be printed edge to edge or on any part of the paper. Use archival printmaking paper.
\n\nTechniques
\nIntaglio, Relief, linocut, Collagraphy, Stencil, Lithography, Letterpress, Serigraphy/screen prints or any combination of these hand printed methods are accepted. Exclusively digital/photographic prints will not be accepted.
\n\nNumber of prints
\nMaximum 2 editions per person. Each artist will create an edition of 10 prints signed and numbered (1/10, 2/10, 3/10...etc) and mail to: Printmaking Sisters, PO Box 3328 Robertson NSW 2577 AUSTRALIA
\n\nOne print is to be donated for sale - the proceeds pledged to WAP
\n\tEight prints will be exchanged and you will be sent a random selection in return
\n\tOne set remains with the organisers to be permanently housed in the National Gallery of Australia
\n\tEach print must have the artist’s name, title, and medium printed in pencil on the back. If you wish to donate one or more extra prints from the edition to be sold please do so - every cent we raise for World Animal Protection goes to help animals in need..

\n\nOnline Exhibition
\nWhen the prints and fees arrive, images of the prints will be uploaded to the online catalogue.
\n\n
Entry fee per edition
\n$20 AU in Australia
International (outside Australia) $25 - Australian Dollars by Pay Pal. This fee will offset costs incurred by Printmaking Sisters eg. Postage costs.
\n\n\n\n
Please note: Questions have arisen regarding the cost for entering two editions to the exchange - as this is a fundraiser for animals desperately in need as well as an exchange between artists, we hope you will understand that an entry fee for both editions needs to be paid to offset the associated costs of this exchange.
