At the Bruce Clarke Guitar Workshop we strongly urge our students to keep their weekly lessons consistent and not miss any lessons. In order to maintain satisfactory progress and continue enjoying playing guitar it is essential that students maintain discipline in their practice and lesson routines. Missing out on lessons disrupts the learning curve and wastes both the student's money and the teacher's time. We greatly want to see our students progress and the best way to do this is to maintain discipline in practice and attendance.

\n\t* Fees paid week-by-week reduces income stability for the teacher, hence we do not encourage it, and this is reflected in the higher fees. However we make provision for this method for people who are willing to abide by the terms.

However, we still request that 24 hours notice be given if a student cannot turn up to a lesson.

Students should not re-schedule more than three times a quarter without a doctor's certificate or at least 48 hours' notice. In the event of missing more than 3 lessons, re-scheduling will be at the discretion of the teacher. The missed lesson must be arranged for another time between teacher and student. Every effort will be made to provide the make-up class; however, the student must be able to fit into the teacher's timetable. If no time can be found that is suitable for both parties the lesson cannot be refunded or carried over to the next quarter.

\n\nStudents arrange a set weekly lesson time with their teacher, and are expected to come weekly. The advantage of this fee scheme is a $20 overall discount and the flexibility to reschedule up to three lessons per quarter without penalty.

\n\nLessons must be paid for a week in advance, so an initial fee covering two lessons must be paid on the first lesson.
\n\tThe weekly fee must be paid every subsequent lesson, so the student has always paid for a lesson in advance.
\n\tMissing a lesson requires 48 hours notice.
\n\tMissed lessons are still charged unless any of the following are provided:
\n\n\t48 hours notice OR
\n\t\ta doctors certificate, OR
\n\t\tother evidence of extenuating circumstances beyond the student's control
\n\t\tA student will not need to bring the fee for a final lesson if they have abided by the above rules, as the lesson will have been paid for in advance.
