The trader, named David Thompson, was reputed of good character and honesty. He found strange footprints that measured over 14 inches long and 8 inches wide, with 4 toes, after tracking the creature in the snow. The newspaper reports referred the 600 pound , 9 feet tall
\n\tcreature as “tak-he,” or “sasquatch,” which means “hairy giant.” The first Bigfoot attack was reported in 1924 in Washinton state. miners and prospectors alike told of attacks of rather large stones and small boulders thrown at their cabins and large footprints left outside the cabins as evidence of the bigfoot.

\n\tin 1958, Jerry Crew, from Humbolt, California took plaster footprint casts of bigfoot after finding them while operating a bulldozer. this is when the name “bigfoot” was first used by newspapers that ran stories of the illusive creature. Roger Patterson and Bib Gimlin claimed to have taken the first video captured of bigfoot ever. The 1967 Bigfoot movie contained only a few seconds of what appeared to be a large female creature walking away and turning to look
\n\n\tat the camera. Many have tried to de-bunk the film as a fraud, but it still stands as the best evidence of a Bigfoot creature in existence. Today, Bigfoot experts estimate from between 4,000 and 6,000 Bigfoots roam the forests of North America. Bigfoots are reported to be primarily docile and vegetarian in nature.
