Jennifer Pena serves as Vice President of Clinical Services and is the clinical leader of the Intensive Case Management team for Private Health Management.

Ms. Pena has more than 17 years of nursing experience, including Medical-Surgical, Critical Care, Emergency Room, Occupational Health and Wellness, and Organ Transplant experience. She is a board-certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.

Prior to joining Private Health Management, Ms. Pena worked as the lead Nurse Practitioner at Keck Medical Center of University of Southern California in the abdominal transplant program, specializing in liver transplant and hepatocellular carcinoma. Her clinical responsibilities included complex medical management, coordination of multidisciplinary treatment, and optimizing outcomes of pre-transplant patients. She played an integral role in the growth and development of the hepatocellular carcinoma program, participated in clinical research, co-authored numerous abstracts and manuscripts, and led many educational programs for both patients and clinicians. She also held Clinical Faculty teaching positions at both University of California, Los Angeles and California State University, Los Angeles.

Before joining USC, Ms. Pena worked as a Nurse Practitioner at Amgen, Inc., a leading and innovative biotechnology company. In addition, she worked as a Registered Nurse at UCLA where she attained a broad array of clinical expertise, including in the surgical intensive care unit and level-1 trauma emergency room.

She is licensed in California and holds certifications in triage, critical care, PICC (peripherally inserted central catheter) line insertion, and as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She is a member of the California Association for Nurse Practitioners.
\n\nMs. Pena graduated cum laude with her Master’s Degree in Nursing from UCLA and received her baccalaureate degree from California State University, Los Angeles.

\n\nShe lives in the Los Angeles area with her husband and two children.
