Bernie is the original author of the Financial Management and Project Investment Analysis course and presented it nationally and internationally for over 25 years.

Bernie has vast technical as well as financial, academic and consulting experience. For more than 20 years (1990 to 2010) Dr Verbaan was responsible for teaching the Engineering Investment Analysis module of the Masters Program in Engineering Management at Curtin University in Perth.

A holder of a gold medal for research achievement, he has supervised major research projects. His specialty is in the techno-economic evaluation of projects. He has often been retained by industry as a consultant and has a large number of patents and publications to his credit.
