The bulk of our training is conducted on Monday nights,during the shool term parade nights. Most parade nights, cadets are given 2 lessons covering a range of topics, by senior cadets and the staff of the unit. Details on the topics can be found below. Training is conducted in the year groups with the cadets progressing through the ATC 3 Year training programme, with the lessons becoming more advanced as the cadets continue in the unit. Once cadets have completed the 3 year training programme, they are eligbile to be considered for promotion as an NCO, which allows them to take a leadership and training position within the unit.

\n\n6 Squadron has recently started offering NZQA credits at level 1, 2 and 3, which can be attributed to NCEA at the relevant levels. There are up to 30 credits available to cadetsduring the three year training programme.
