Definition of “Quotidiana”: In English:”Everyday Live”: Happening or used every day; daily.

The idea for the \"Quotidiana\" collection was born from its Designer, Tiago Franco Paiva, who wanted to preserve the tile tradition that is at risk for various reasons, as well as demonstrate its artistic value and decorative adaptability to new formats.
\n\nDuring the creative development, the designer chose 10 buildings in Lisbon, between Largo da Estrela and Madragoa neighborhood; undertook a photographic survey of the placed tiles on the façades of these buildings; and subsequently adapted them to an object he designed for that purpose - in this case a coffee cup. Why a Coffee Cup? Coffee is also another Portuguese tradition. It is part of day-to-day life and approaches the concept:”to be on the street in sight” as the tiles which we pass by every day and which fulfill our urban fabric.
\n\nOnce decided, the Designer produced the 10 \"Quotidiana\" coffee cups, giving them the name of the street and the building door number which they represent. With this option of joining the 10 names on the cups, a route of “Tile Art” which teaches us about one of the historic areas of Lisbon was instantly created, challenging us to a cultural experience that brings us to the house where the Pedagogue João de Deus once lived; a traditional Portuguese pastry shop; Portuguese food restaurants where you can enjoy a dish of snails; gourmet groceries; a chapel for most unknown. We can also discover the old site of the Radio Museum; the sole active riffle in Lisbon; Miss Tina, the owner of a restaurant and amateur ceramic painter; the place where Maria Severa lived - a young “fado” singer with a tragic story; the Marionette Museum and of course to the exclusive thrill of experiencing life in a historic area of Lisbon.
\n\nThus, the user can, through existing digital media, search and view the buildings, or go to the actual site and get to know the piece of history he bought.

- Started as Junior Interior Designer, developing and creating kitchens for a major and prestige Portuguese Brand.

- Having in mind all the ideas and the will to help portuguese industries and regions, by preparing and designing new objects that these companies could use, he decided to \"launch\" mina2b Product Design Office. For the last two years, he has been the mastermind behind the \"Quotidiana Project\": a cultural project associated to Ceramics Design and Portuguese Tile History. By this, he created a way to show Portuguese cities from a different angle and also give a new and refreshed look to it.

- Presently lives in Porto, where attends his Masters Degree in Architecture at Escola Superior Artística do Porto (ESAP)
