Fast forward nearly 2 years and Mini's Bulldog Rescue Club is a registered charity with a small team of volunteers and has helped 100+ bulldogs in need. Founded in Newcastle (NSW) Australia, but now helping bulldogs across the rest of NSW and at times in other states. 2016 was a massive year, and with your support we look forward to helping even more bulldogs in 2017 & beyond.

OUR FIRST PRIORITY IS TO ASSIST BULLDOGS IN NEED OF RESCUE. They may be located in a pound, or in a risky situation and surrendered urgently.
\n\nOnce a suitable foster carer has been found, rescue bulldogs will be cared for in the foster carer's home, just like they would their own dog. Mini's Bulldog Rescue Club will provide the necessary medical and behavioural support to get the rescue bulldog ready to be adopted to a new home. The foster carer will always get first option to adopt the bulldog they have fostered (called a foster fail - which is a major perk of fostering).
\n\nAll bulldogs are microchipped, desexed and brought up to date with vaccinations as part of getting ready to be adopted. An adoption fee of $400-500 will be charged to cover some of the cost to get the bulldog ready to be adopted (cost per dog is often a lot more than the adoption fee).
\n\nMBRC will also provide support to families who need to find a new home for their bulldog. These are known as an ‘assisted adoption’ or an ’assisted rehoming’ where we match the bulldog up with a new family.
\n\nAgain, all bulldogs must be microchipped, desexed, and up to date with vaccinations to be adopted. Please understand finding the perfect new home may take a little time and helping rescues as stated above will always be the first priority. A family giving a dog up will not be paid by Mini’s Bulldog Rescue Club. It must be a genuine case of wanting to find a suitable and loving home for the bulldog which they can’t keep.
\n\nTHE ADOPTION PROCESS INCLUDES 6 IMPORTANT STEPS:
\n\n1. Screening of applications, which will include questions over email/messenger and a phone call, to select the best new home for the bulldog.
\n\n2. A meet & greet between the bulldog and the potential new family (and any pets they may have).
\n\n3. A house & yard inspection of the potential new home, and if renting, proof from the landlord / real estate for permission to have the bulldog at the property.
\n\n4. Payment of the adoption fee (which will be refunded if it doesn’t work out during the trial period).
\n\n5. A 2 week trial period - to ensure that it’s a perfect match for the bulldog and the new family (the bulldog remains in the name of MBRC during this time).
\n\n6. Formal change of ownership and updating of the bulldog’s microchip once the trial period is completed. It is the responsibility of the new family to ensure the new bulldog is registered with their local council Mini’s Bulldog Rescue Club does not transport dogs inter-state (or within state) as this does not allow for the all important meet & greet, and an adoption trial. Our expertise is in helping Aussie or British Bulldogs. We have helped a small number of American & French Bulldogs.
\n\nIf we feel we are not the best group to assist you with your bulldog, we will do our best to utilise our network of contacts and refer you to a rescue colleagues who we feel would be.
