From singing in her parent’s living room and local church to presenting theatrical plays on stage. Yessenia is an incredibly passionate multitalented creative who has been working in the industry since 2007 as an actress, model and athlete.

\n\nCuban/American actress Yessenia Cossio was born and raised in Miami, FL. She is the second child to Elsa J. Cossio a self employed mother, father Jose A. Cossio, a personal trainer, and younger sister to Jose Cossio Jr., an auto technician. At the early age of 5, Cossio expressed an interest for the performing arts and was immediately enrolled in dance classes. By the age of 9, she began singing at her school chorus, Joe Hall Elementary and in local Churches. Although, she loved her craft, something was still missing. Yessenia is a high school graduate from G. Holmes Braddock Sr. High where she performed her first unforgettable scene at the age of 18, with a fellow student from her English class about "Women's Rights". After her unforgettable performance, she was highly encouraged by her teacher and classmates to join a drama class. After all the great feedback and passion she felt while performing, Cossio decided that she wanted to make acting her career.

\nWorking in the corporate industry for over 6 years specializing in Human Resource, Computer Technician, Medical Billing, Best Buy and even going door to door selling small kitchen appliances, she found it difficult to balance a normal 9-5pm job, attend castings and also felt there was a missing piece. In 2013 when Yessenia was released from her job at Best Buy she realized her "freedom" was the missing piece, the freedom of being able to chase her dreams.

\n In January 2014 months after her release, Yessenia's acting career started to sky rocket becoming one of the most sought out actresses in the Independent Film Industry in Florida, Completing 15 short films and 9 principal roles, over 16 national commercials/infomercials and also making an impact in the Stunt industry as a professional stunt performer doubling many well known actors in networks such as Telemundo, Venevision, Nickelodeon & USA Network. As a recognized hard working actress and business woman, Cossio has additionally produced two Independent films, edited various music videos, worked in many high budget productions as PA (personal assistant), makeup artist and production design.
\nShe has also made a name for herself in the Modeling, Fitness and most recent Parkour/Freerunning industry. Shooting for magazines, calendars, print campaigns as a Fashion and Fitness model to becoming a 2X NPC Bodybuilding fitness competitor in 2014 and 2015 winning second place in Novice. Transitioning her athletics to Parkour/Freerunning in 2016, Yessenia competed in 2017 at the WFPF Las Vegas Pro AM a long side the worlds best athletes in both speed and freestyle.
\n\nYessenia lives through a simple philosophy " Just Show Up!" She has embodied these 3 words through dedication, hard work, and experiencing the world through her passion and commitment to helping others succeed as well both personally and professionally. One of Yessenia's many hobbies is giving back to the community through many random acts of kindness such as helping less fortunate strangers with food, clothing or money to even forming a fundraiser for a child with cancer. Yessenia's goal is to continue growing as a professional to help serve her purpose and fulfill the heart of others with hope and inspiration.
