They say you teach what you have to learn and Angela is doing just that. After experiencing 11 years of complete body breakdown, including chronic burnout, adrenal fatigue, severe energy depletion, hypoglycemia, candida, immune disfunction, impaired organs, anxiety, panic attacks, short-term depression and unwanted weight loss, Angela is intensely passionate about helping others so that they do not have to go through the same level of illness, emotional pain, trauma, and suffering that she had to endure.
\n\n
\n\nFrom an early age Angela felt very disconnected, powerless, unworthy, lacked self-esteem and felt as though she didn’t fit in or belong. These limiting beliefs affected her teens and early twenties and she ran a program of self-sabotage, denying her bodily needs, pushing her body beyond its limits and abused it with a poor diet, alcohol and recreational drugs. She also had unhealthy boundaries, constantly put others needs ahead of her own, was a chronic people pleaser and didn’t know how to say no for fear of offending anyone.
\n\n
\n\nFrom her early twenties Angela experienced a number of symptoms which were warning signs from her body to change the way she was living. She chose to ignore them and continued living the way she always had. Then in 2006 Angela experienced an event that changed her life forever. After a big night out with friends she had a terrifying 5 hour panic attack which ultimately led to adrenal fatigue. Her heart was racing for hours on end, adrenaline and cortisol flooding her body. She was sure she was going to die. It felt like her heart was about to give out at any moment. Her life was never the same from that time on. After that event every time she got sick with a cold or flu, did a session of cardio at the gym or had a night out drinking her body would crash for weeks at a time.

This was definitely the wake-up call that Angela needed and after a lifetime of abusing her body she finally started to take better care of herself. Adrenal crashes would still occur but not as frequently. Fast forward to 2013 when her young son kept bringing home lots of illnesses from preschool, Angela’s immune system couldn’t cope and after years of illness her health deteriorated rapidly. Body crash after body crash, weeks in bed at a time. Life was not about living anymore, it was about surviving. Angela desperately wanted to return to health and live a vibrant and fulfilling life, and more importantly have enough energy to keep up with her active son.
\n\n
\n\nFor years she had tried unsuccessfully to get answers, going to numerous doctors and specialists to find out what was wrong, but they were unable to help or offer any solutions. The doctors made her feel hopeless and like she would never be able to recover and heal. However, Angela was determined to get better and felt deep down that there had to be a way to get better. Realising that Western Medicine had nothing to offer her Angela explored natural, alternative methods.
\n\n
\n\nWith the help of some extremely gifted healers and mentors, Angela began her healing journey. She learned that healing is an inside out job that starts within and occurs on many different levels - emotional healing, spiritual healing and physical healing. In many cases physical healing cannot occur without emotional and spiritual healing. Angela began to see how traumatic experiences from her past, poor nutrition, stress, as well as limiting conscious and subconscious beliefs were affecting her present and causing the illnesses.
\n\n
\n\nAngela also learned that she was a highly sensitive person (a person who has high sensory awareness and processes sensory data more deeply due to the nature of their central nervous system. 15-20% of the population), an empath (when you are effected by feeling the energies, emotions and physical symptoms of others even when you are not going through the same situation. 2-3% of the population) and an introvert (introverts lose energy around others while extroverts gain energy). Everything was making sense now, her body couldn’t keep up like her other friends because it was so highly sensitive and she wasn’t living true to her nature.
\n\n
\n\nOver the course of the next few years Angela learnt many effective tools to release the energy of past traumas and dis-empowering beliefs which were draining her energy and keeping her stuck in a state of disease. She radically changed her diet, learnt valuable self-love practices and spent endless hours listening to every talk and reading every book she could find on healing, personal growth, empowerment, the power of the mind and spirituality.

\n\nThe healing path is never smooth and although she was making progress the ongoing illness put a lot of strain on her marriage which weighed her down physically and emotionally. The marriage ended amicably in 2016.
\n\n
\n\nSince then Angela’s health has improved considerably as she has finally put her body's needs first, found peace with the present and the past, and reconnected to the things that bring her the most joy and happiness in life including laughing with her son, spending time in nature, riding her horse, doing tai chi at the beach, painting and playing with her dog.
\n\n
\n\nAngela is so grateful for the health issues she experienced and for all she has learnt on her healing journey. It has helped her to grow and evolve in ways she never expected. She has learnt to see the perfection in everything, the good times and the bad. In the hardest and messiest times of our lives there is so much to learn and when you reach the other side life is so much sweeter and precious. Having so much to overcome the sense of freedom and contentment Angela now feels is phenomenal.

\n\nBeing an empath Angela has always cared deeply about others and is excited to be able to share all that she has learnt on her healing journey.
