Terms and Conditions of Sale

\n\nAt Bubble & Squeak we want to ensure customer satisfaction on all products and livestock purchased. We only stock products and animals from quality suppliers who adhere to strict quality standard and those outlined in the Animal Welfare Code of practice. All products we sell are guaranteed. We recommend you inspect all purchased good to ensure that you are completely satisfied with your purchase and that it is fit for use and/or in working order.

\n\nIf you have purchased an item that is not fit for use or not in working order please contact us by phone, email or by coming into our store with your goods and a copy of your receipt. We'll ensure that your product is evaluated and replaced by an identical item in stock or a special order placed to replace it.
\n\n
\n\nOur guarantee does not apply if:
\n\n
\n\nYou have simply changed your mind, found it cheaper elsewhere, decided you did not like the purchase or had no use for it. The only exception to this guarantee relates to birds (please see the terms and conditions of sale relating to birds below).
\n\tIf you have misused the product in any way that has caused the problem.
\n\tKnew or were aware of any faults prior to purchasing the product (includes damaged discounted goods).
\n\tHave altered or serviced a product in a certain way against the advice of the business or manufacturer.
\n\t
\n\nManufacturer warranties can be found on packaging or documents within your product. If you are unsure of manufacturer warranties please contact us and we can discuss details and the process of claiming warranties.
\n\n
\n\nWe also have particular terms and conditions of sale for birds, fish and aquatic plants. These terms and conditions are outlined below and are non negotiable.

Birds
\n\n
\n\nIt is a requirement under the Animal Welfare Code of Practice that any bird sold requires us to record the date of sale along with the name and contact details of the new owner. This is non negotiable.
\n\tYou must be at least 16 years of age in order to purchase a bird or in the physical presence of an adult or guardian if you are under 16.
\n\tIf within 3 days your bird is not acceptable to the purchaser we will accept the same bird back in store and refund 50% of the purchase price. If your bird dies or is euthanised as a result of disease that is traceable to the point of sale and is verified by the appropriate authority such as a veterinarian, we will refund the purchase price or offer you a replacement bird with the same guarantee.
\n\tWe will never sell any bird that is suspected of being sick, injured or diseased.
\n\tWe will provide you a care information sheet particular to the breed of bird you have purchased and provide advice on any particular needs or requirements.

\n\nFish and Aquarium Plants
\n\n
\n\nWe maintain healthy aquarium tanks that are cleaned and tested on a weekly basis. This ensures water suitability to sustain fish and aquarium plants.
\n\tYou must be at least 16 years of age in order to purchase fish or in the physical presence of an adult or guardian if you are under 16.
\n\tWe do not accept returns or refunds for fish or aquatic plants once they have left the store. It is your responsibility to ensure that your tank environment is correctly set up to keep your fish and plants health.
\n\tWe will never sell any fish that is suspected of being sick, injured or diseased.
\n\tWe will provide you a general care information sheet for your fish and provide advice on any particular needs or requirements.
\n\tNever release or dispose of any fish or aquatic plants purchased into lakes, dams or waterways.
\n\tWe have no obligation to purchase, refund or take unquarantined fish into the shop/aquarium. All our fish and aquatic plants are provided by reputable suppliers who adhere to the relevant Animal Welfare Codes of Practice.
