Why ISM?
\nISM's aim is to teach music as a language. The instruction is aurally based to maximise learning in young students, encouraging not only a love of music, but an understanding of music.

Rosalind Thrift - creator of ISM
\nAfter extensive research and recognising a need for more contemporary music programs for young students, Rosalind developed and wrote new courses, integrating over 740 pieces of original music and in 1997 launched the International School of Music. ISM is now considered a market leader in music education for young students and many music educators who have a contemporary approach to music education, have embraced the ISM system and established very successful ISM music schools.

Molly is a qualified classroom teacher as well as being fully ISM-accredited. In addition to her music and teaching degrees, she has also trained with the University of Queensland in the Kodaly Method of Music Education.

\n\nMolly has been teaching singing and piano for many years while also performing in countless concerts and productions. She has studied Voice with Andrew Foote and Megan Sutton, and has sung with the Western Australian Symphony Orchestra Chorus, the St George's Cathedral Choir Consort and the UWA Winthrop Singers as well as being involved with many community theatre projects.
\n\nMolly's passion is teaching children and having previously worked as a full-time music teacher for the International School of Music in Perth she has loved sharing the ISM curriculum and her own singing curriculum with the people of Kalgoorlie-Boulder since 2012.
