Bamboo has the benefit of being rapidly renewable. While it takes traditional hardwoods between 40-120 years to reach maturity, it only takes 5-6 years for bamboo plants to reach full maturity. Just like when you open that bottle of wine, the age of the Bamboo at harvesting is also critical.

Bamboo starts to re-grow immediately after it is harvested, it regenerates without the need for replanting and requires minimal fertilization or pesticides. Hardwood timber needs to be replanted and during the growing process produces less oxygen, consumes less carbon dioxide and creates soil erosion in harvested areas.
