An alternative to the more traditional "baby shower", a Mother Blessing focuses on the mother and her sacred journey towards motherhood. Surrounded by the women closest to her, the mother-to-be is nurtured, honoured and supported on her special Mother Blessing day.

A Mother Blessing is a wonderful way to reflect on your transition to motherhood, and to channel the love, blessings and support of the women closest to you.
\n\n\n\n
Some of the rituals that may be included:
\n\ncreation of a flower wreath for the mum--to-be
\n\tcandle lighting ceremony
\n\tmaking a bead necklace for the mother-to-be to wear during labour or hang in her birth space
\n\tpampering - foot soak, massage, pedicure, manicure and nail painting
\n\tguided group meditation to manifest blessings for the mother-to-be
\n\tannointing the mother-to-be with oil - each woman annoints a different part of the Mother's body and offers a blessing. For example, “I anoint your head for all of the decisions you will make in the years to come” or “I anoint your hands for all the times they will hold your baby.”
\n\tcreation of braided bracelets for all women present to wear as a symbol of their support
\n\tdecorate a belly cast
\n\thenna the belly, hands and/or feet of the mother-to-be
\n\tshare positive birth stories or birth blessings for the mum-to-be
\n\tdecorate birthing flags to hang in the birth space.

\n\nInitial consultation (over the phone or at my place in Bayswater) to determine what you want your ceremony to be like and planning the special day
\n\tPreparing and sending invitations to your guests and managing RSVP's
\n\tOrganise food and refreshments brought by your guests
\n\tMaterials for your chosen rituals
\n\tCreating a tranquil, inviting space for you and your guests with decorations, music, candles and aromatherapy
\n\tA hosted 2 hour Mother Blessing ceremony at your chosen venue, fully led by me.
