They keep on fighting
\nIn Korea and Vietnam
\nWhere still more lives are given
\nTo the freedom fighter's band.
\nAnd I sometimes wonder
\nIf it's all worthwhile.
\nIf only Mankind could learn
\nTo live in peace,
\nUntil the end of time.
\nBut still, some nations squabble
\nAnd fight among themselves.
\nBut we here in Australia
\nHave offered solace and a piece of rest
\nTo war torn, homeless people.
\nSo, may we always cherish
\nThat freedom, so hard won
\nBy our fighting men and women,
\nSeventy Five Years on!
\nHow lucky we are in Australia
\nThat we are not torn adrift.
\nMay we always remember, with heartfelt thanks,
\nThat marvelous, ANZAC's gift.
\n
\nDIRECTOR'S MESSAGE
\n\n
ANZAC Salute depicts the great spirit of service men and women who have fought for this country. We arenot glorifying war but we should remember the sacrifices made to enable us to enjoy our present freedom.
\n\n
This is not a history lesson. We have employed a compliation of songs to convey the spirit, the gusto with which we have fought and now, peacefully live. We could not include every conflict since Gallipoli, but have endeavoured to acknowledge each, if only in passsing, as well as the job done by those at home.
\n
\nRelax, enjoy the music and singalong with us as we travel the trenches with the ANZACs.
\n\n
CAST
\n\n
Ann-Marie Powell, Audry Heatwole, Beryl Hamel, Betty Ridley, Bev Whitley, Brian Thomas, Buster Wainohu, David Grey, Dawn Smith, Debbie Towner, Derek Norton, Donny Wainohu nee Murphy, Dorothy Pollard, Evelyn Griffith, Jenny Sayer, John Hamel, John Whitley, Kura Michael, Leonard O'Reilly, Margaret Kennedy, Margaret Norton, Michael Van der Valk, Ngaire Wainohu, Noa McLeod, Norman Macey, Pat McLean, Peter King, Ray Day, Shan Fawcett, Sharyn Holmes, Sue Brown, Theresa O'Reilly, Tracy Van der Valk
\n\n
Chorus: Ann-Marie Powell, Bev Whitley, Dawn Smith, Debbie Towner, Dorothy Pollard, John Whitley, Kura Michael, Noa McLeod, Pat McLean
\n\n
PRODUCTION TEAM
\n\n
Director: Donna Wainohu nee Murphy
\nAssistant Director: Ngaire Wainohu
\nMusical Directors: Pam Douglas, Audrey Heatwole
\nRepetiteur: Pam Douglas
\nHouse Manageress: Frances O'Brien
\nChoreographer: Shan Fawcett
\nStage Manager: Lisa Smith
\nStage Crew: Sonya O'Keefe, Mary Steel
\nSet Design: Betty Ridley
\nLighting Design: Bruce McRae
\nLighting/Sound: Tim Kitching, Frances Norton, Paul Davies
\nCostuming: Ngaire Wainohu
\nPublicity: Brian Thomas, Norman Macey
\n\n
THANKS TO
\n\n
Armidale Naval/Police Museum - Ken Roper, Buster Wainohu from Sydney, Danieli Studios, Armidale - Jonathon Jedburgh, Lyn Thomson for Logo Design, New England Music - Stuart Lathwell, UNE Union Cultural Services - Paul Harper-Green, Uralla Military Museum - Darcy Hassett
","stylesMapId":"CK_EDITOR_PARAGRAPH_STYLES","linkList":[]},"m6a7v":{"type":"Page","id":"m6a7v","metaData":{"isPreset":false,"schemaVersion":"1.0","isHidden":false},"title":"1990 ANZAC Salute","hideTitle":true,"icon":"","descriptionSEO":"","metaKeywordsSEO":"","pageTitleSEO":"","pageUriSEO":"anzac-salute","hidePage":true,"isMobileLandingPage":false,"underConstruction":false,"tpaApplicationId":0,"pageSecurity":{"requireLogin":false,"passwordDigest":"","dialogLanguage":""},"isPopup":false,"indexable":true,"isLandingPage":false,"pageBackgrounds":{"desktop":{"custom":true,"ref":"#m6a7v_desktop_bg","isPreset":true},"mobile":{"custom":true,"ref":"#m6a7v_mobile_bg","isPreset":true,"mediaSizing":"viewport"}},"translationData":{"uriSEOTranslated":false}},"m6a7v_desktop_bg":{"type":"BackgroundMedia","id":"m6a7v_desktop_bg","metaData":{"isPreset":false,"schemaVersion":"2.0","isHidden":false},"color":"{color_11}","alignType":"top","fittingType":"fill","scrollType":"fixed"},"m6a7v_mobile_bg":{"type":"BackgroundMedia","id":"m6a7v_mobile_bg","metaData":{"isPreset":false,"schemaVersion":"2.0","isHidden":false},"color":"{color_11}","alignType":"top","fittingType":"fill","scrollType":"fixed"}},"design_data":{},"behaviors_data":{},"connections_data":{},"theme_data":{},"component_properties":{"mobile_propItem-j7ehxxfh":{"type":"WRichTextProperties","metaData":{"schemaVersion":"1.0","autoGenerated":true},"brightness":1.0,"packed":false},"propItem-j7ehxxfh":{"type":"WRichTextProperties","metaData":{"schemaVersion":"1.0","autoGenerated":false},"brightness":1.0,"packed":true}},"mobile_hints":{"mobileHints-j7ehxxfh1":{"type":"MobileHints","id":"mobileHints-j7ehxxfh1","hidden":false},"mobileHints-j7pmga9z":{"type":"MobileHints","id":"mobileHints-j7pmga9z","hidden":false}}},"title":"1990 ANZAC Salute","pageUriSEO":"anzac-salute"}
