Hi my name is Michele. I am the owner of Capital K9s and I am based in Saint Andrews, Hamilton. Originally from Hawera in Taranaki, I moved to Hamilton to further my career and passion for animals. I have always loved being around animals and knew this was the life I wanted to pursue.

\n\nI studied at Wintec and completed a course in Animal Care and gained cerificates in Animal Anatomy and Physiology, Animal Health and Husbandry, and Animal First Aid and Disease Control.
\n\n\n\n
While studying, I began my work experience at Dappa Dogs, the leading dog grooming salon located at Animates. This led to weekend work, then eventually a full time position...all within a few weeks! I couldn't believe my luck! Not only did I get to work with adorable dogs, I also got to take the first step towards an amazing and creative career. After 3months I was manager of the salon.

\n\nWhile at Dappa Dogs, I completed my level 3 Grooming, Terrier Grooming and Sport Dog Grooming certificates. I also attended Groomalongs, a grooming seminar, where I gained a lot of knowledge and learnt new techniques which I now use daily.

From Dappa Dogs, I spent 6 months at PetStock in Cambridge, learning even more, and achieving yet another step toward my goal...my own business!

So here I am. ready to listen to your ideas and help coiffe your canine, beautify your baby and pamper your pooch :)
