Coming Back to the Church?

If you are a Catholic, the Church is your spiritual home and you will always be welcome. We take as our model from Jesus' parable about the shepherd celebrating the return of his lost sheep. Father Sean is always available for a chat. There may be things you would like to discuss. Much has changed in the Church in recent years. Interested in Becoming a Catholic or learn more about the Catholic Faith?
\n\n\n\n
If you have been baptised (as a Catholic or other Christian religion), a Catholic Formation Program is available for those interested in becoming a Catholic or who want to know more about the Catholic Faith. During this program candidates will undertake a process which includes a period of reflection, prayer, instruction, discernment and formation. Candidates are encouraged to go at their own pace and take as much time as they need. However, on average the process takes between eight to twelve months. Those who enter the process are expected to begin attending Holy Mass on a Sunday and attend scheduled formation sessions or recommended liturgy programs.

If you have not been baptised (as a Catholic or other Christian religion), the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) is the process through which interested adults and older children are gradually introduced to the Roman Catholic faith and way of life. On average the process takes between eight to twelve months, but it can take up to two years or more. Initially, candidates are involved in a formation process involving attendance at information sessions that outline basic details about the faith and fundamentally communicate the Gospel of Jesus Christ. A more formal program is then commenced. Those who enter the process are expected to begin attending Holy Mass on a Sunday, attend regularly scheduled RCIA sessions, and to become increasingly more involved in the activities of their local parish.

As the Body of Christ we seek to support each other through love and concern. Tell us about the need you have for prayer and we will include that intention in our daily prayers.
