The Manager as Mediator in the Workplace

Mediation is based on the principle of collaborative problem-solving with a focus on the future and rebuilding relationships. It is an effective strategy that aims to reach mutual agreement. Mediation is a flexible, confidential and a less formal alternative to settling workplace disputes. Managers trained in mediation will be able to support staff in resolving conflicts quickly, nipping conflict in the bud and preventing conflict escalation.

This introductory course will provide managers with the practical tools to more confidently address conflict between team members and conduct a mediation process where it is appropriate.
