The club provide weekend and evening programs in underserved areas of Glasgow, where all of the girls creative outputs are generated.

\nNurturing self-esteem, developing individual talents, and connecting the next generation of socially conscious female leaders is Girls Clubs unique model.
\n\nGlasgow Girls Club creates a space for girls and young women to harness their individual power, bust stereotype myths and break down societal barriers.

\n\nGlasgow Girls Club uses the social entrepreneurship and the creative industries as vehicles to enable young women to be strong, bold, socially conscious advocates and leaders in their immediate and wider community.

\n\nIn todays world where the gender imbalance is still all too prevalent, our initiatives offer girls a unique opportunity to find and use their voices while leading others to follow in their footsteps.

\nGlasgow Girls Club uses their resources to encourage participants to own their power and reach their potential by telling the stories that are important to them and their communities.

The aspirations, passions and stories of the girls we work with are conveyed via socially conscious initiatives, films, songs and experiential event productions to evoke thought and action around relative issues and topics.

The Club
\n\n\n\n
Glasgow Girls Club work with girls and young women of diverse backgrounds, ultimately bringing participants together under common goals. Through our local and international initiatives we help to dissolve barriers for and between young people.
\n\n\n\n
We also provide services to young people experiencing homelessness, social exclusion and isolation. By working with experienced partners in these areas, we are able to provide creative pathways and bespoke, tailored support to existing care programs for the girls who need it most.
\n
\nGlasgow Girls Club screenings, workshops and curriculum are also available to schools, community groups and conferences to raise awareness about equality and social justice issues.
\nGlasgow Girls Club joins Lower Eastside Girls Club, Club Balam in Chiapas, Mexico,
Ghar Sita Mutu in Kathmandu, Nepal, Shine on Sierra Leone in Kono, Sierra Leone to form
\n\nGirls Club Worldwide.

We are seeking motivated, budding social entrepreneurs, film-makers, songwriters, dancers, activists, performers and musicians to join our year long workshops (ages 12-21). Glasgow Girls Club’s outreach program is designed for secondary school age girls and are lead by our Glasgow Girls Club teaching team and experienced Girls Club members who have been with Girls Club for a significant period of time and have shown commitment to achieving our vision and strategic goals. The workshops urge participants to explore gender, ethnicity and privilege issues through social entrepreneurship, film making and creatively productive outputs.

Our curriculum develops film-making, presenting, entrepreneurial, critical thinking and analytic skills as participants are encouraged to consider issues affecting them and their wider communities. This approach helps to build confidence, self esteem and promotes stronger educational outcomes.
\n
This is a residency program for secondary schools offered as an in-house course or after school program. For details on fees and anything else, get in touch.
