Parents are the most important partner in the development process. We can provide the information a parent needs to create an elite athlete home environment including nutrition, recovery, injury prevention and so on. It is up to the parent to ensure the child follows elite athlete discipline.

Nearly 30 years experimenting with various teaching methods has led us to the process we now employ; combining training and private instruction in a squad environment, after observing significant levels of tournament play to know how players prepare for and respond to competitive situations.
\n\n\n\n
Our experience has demonstrated that almost universally children have moments where coaching has a maximum value and that these moments can not be scheduled - they are random occurrences.
\n\n\n\n
Responding to that experience we have established training environments which mirror various aspects of the game. We observe performance in these situations, look for persistent unacceptable execution and suggest correction at a rate we think the individual child can apply.

Our view is that private tennis lessons are not time or cost effective. Children do not respond immediately or acquire new skills in minutes. They do not remember what they are told well enough or long enough to take on 30 or 60 minutes of instruction and employ that information until the next lesson. Parents who try to remember for the children tend to get it only partially right, and usually apply the information ineffectively. The private lesson concept is more applicable to raw beginners and adult social players; it serves the coach and parent who want to operate on a fixed schedule, but ignores the obvious - the child is ready when the child is ready, and that is not likely to be at 4:30PM on a Tuesday for 60 minutes week after week after school.
