Single Glazing
\n\nSingle glazing is a single piece of glass, normally 4-6mm thick. Single glazing provides the least amount of acoustic/thermal performance. We only recommend using single glazing if you're replacing a window in your house and the rest of your house is single glazed. The disadvantages with single glazing are that the weather transfers from outside to inside easily and there is no noise reduction.

Double Glazing
\n\nDouble glazing has by far become the most popular type of glazing here in Australia. Double glazing which is normally two 4mm glass sheets filled with Argon gas allows you to cut costs by reducing your heating and cooling costs by up to 30%. Double glazing also helps reduce any disruptive noises outside your home allowing you to relax in your home without the sounds of annoying driving traffic.

Triple Glazing
\n\nTriple glazing is the ultimate in glazing and is widely supported by many European countries. Triple glazing has all the benefits of double glazing, only it adds 50% more acoustic/thermal performance. Much like double glazing, triple glazing is normally three 4mm glass sheets filled with Argon gas. In most cases we've seen clients achieve nearly a full star extra when triple glazing is specified over double glazing.
