The Buninyong Festival is a free community focused event held biennually in late October -
\n\nlocated in the gorgeous township of Buninyong, just 11 kms south of Ballarat.

\n\nThe Festival is a celebration of the local community, of its diversity, interests, passions, ideas,
\n\nand the expression of the ‘Good Life’.
\n\n
\n\nThe Festival aims to provide:
\n\nA fun and low cost day of entertainment for the whole family
\n\tActivities and competitions where the kids can express themselves
\n\tA platform for Community Groups to reach out to the wider Buninyong and Ballarat communities

\n\nThere is much to see and do on Festival Day. The Buninyong Festival endeavours to include a wide range of activities for the whole family to enjoy, including:

\n\nFree entry to the Festival grounds
\n\tAmusement activities such as jumping castles, bungee runs, animal farms etc
\n\tOriginal and unique craft stalls
\n\tYummy food stalls and food trucks
\n\tEducational and information stalls

\n\nFestival History

\n\nThe Buninyong Festival is the reinvention of the long established Buninyong Gold King Festival that ran between 1975 and 2009. In 2009, a new committee envisaged The Good Life Festival which rang for five festivals from 2009 to 2015. In 2016, the committee voted to run the Festival biannually.
\n\n\n\n
The Buninyong Festival seeks to retain the core values of the original Gold King Festival, while also looking towards the future. The main purpose of the reinvention was to reinvigorate the festival, its committee, and the community.

\n\nNo Dog Policy
\n\n
\n\nAs we have a lot of small children running around the Festival grounds, we do ask that dogs are left at home. That way everyone can enjoy the fun and have a safe day.
