Volunteers
\n\nBCC relies on the generous support of volunteers to assist with daily operations, general office duties, gardening, tutoring, committee of management and special events. If you are able to offer some of your time to BCC it will help to share the work load. Volunteering is a great way to meet new friends and learn new skills.

\n\nAll volunteers are required to obtain a Police Check and Working with Children's Check depending on their role.

Customer Service
\n\nRole: Your role is to provide help and support across reception and the centre.
\n\nKey responsibilities:
\n\nMeet and greet, answer phones and take messages
\n\tCollect money and write receipts
\n\tComputer work as required - data entry, update spreadsheets
\n\tSet up and pack up rooms before and after classes
\n\tRequirements:
\n\nExcellent customer service skills
\n\tWill be required to obtain Working with Children's Check and Police Check.
\n\tThis role is available:
\n\nMonday and Friday during school term
\n\t9:00am - 12:30pm approx.
\n\t
\n\nGarden Maintenance
\n\nRole: Your role in our outdoor area is to provide support to the manager and staff of the presentation of the community centre.
\n\nKey responsibilities:
\n\nGeneral light gardening duties - weeding, watering, pruning, planting NOT mowing
\n\tGeneral light maintenance duties - keeping grounds clean and tidy, sweeping paths and driveway, brushing cobwebs.
\n\tThis role is approx 4 - 6 hours per month, days and times are negotiable.
\n\n
\n\nMessy Playgroup Support
\n\nRole: Your role is to provide support to our messy playgroup leader which runs on the 2nd & 4th Wednesday of the month.
\n\nKey responsibilities:
\n\nHelping set up playroom and playground
\n\tHelping make activities
\n\tCleaning up after activities, wiping tables, moping floors, putting away toys.
\n\tRequirements:
\n\nSuitable fitness to undertake required activities
\n\tWill be required to obtain Working with Children's Check and Police Check.
\n\tThis role is available:
\n\n2nd and 4th Wednesday of month during school term
\n\t9:00am - 1:00pm approx.
\n\t
\n\nVolunteer Tutor
\n\nDo you have skills and talents that you can teach to others?
\n\nDo you have skills that could be used to support our current teachers? eg interpreting, classroom support.
\n\nGive out manager, Meredith a ring for a confidential conversation.
