About Us

The Maloya Estate dates back to the 1880's and has a rich history in the Southern Highlands.  Servicing the main Maloya homestead, the gardener's cottage provided fresh vegetables to the main house, and the Barn, being the original milking dairy, supplied fresh milk and cream.  A natural spring on the property supplied water to reservoir tanks in Carlisle Street which serviced many Bowral residents in the early 1900's.

Recently, Bowral Cottage has been beautifully renovated to provide private accommodation close to the Bowral town centre. We know guests looking for accommodation in Bowral look for character and charm when looking for a weekend or holiday rental. Bowral Cottage meets this accommodation need and allow guests to expereince all the comforts of home in an environment that lends itself to peace and relaxation.

The completely renovated cottage is comfortable, with WiFi, an open fireplace and pot belly stove with wood supplied, condiments and tea and coffee in the cupboards, an espresso machine and a litre of milk in the fridge, meaning you don’t have to worry about the little things when you arrive.

\n\n

 

\n\n

The Cottage features two queen rooms, and a bedroom with two single beds, and is beautifully appointed with 1000 thread sheets, goose down pillows and doonas to ensure a peaceful night’s sleep in the quiet surrounds.

Whilst there are a number of Bowral accommodation options our guests inform us time and time again that Bowral Cottage provides a real sense of history and comfort for a reasonable price.

When considering accommodation in the Southern Highlands there is no better place to stay, as you are very close to Bowral town centre with all it's cafe's, restuarants and boutique shops. There are also a number of golf courses and wineries no more than five minutes drive away.
